HRSA and the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program

The HRSA program and NHSC practitioners and providers join Primary Care Centers and health care systems to serve under-served, rural, and impoverished populations and patients and allow methods to train quality practitioners who seek to care for these populations. CMHC, Inc. is an approved HRSA Site in Nevada, Butler, Adrian, and Harrisonville, MO, and has an application for our affiliated primary care center in Adrian, MO. HRSA scholars and practitioners qualify for two years in service (with renewal options) in approved sites with attendant repayment or support for student loans. This way, under-served areas get improved healthcare services, and practitioners fill a need and become trained to serve special populations. HRSA providers at CMHC, Inc. will have salaries adjusted and equalized with the Government Occupational Handbook Median annual salary for their discipline and their malpractice insurance paid. They must work at least 40 hours per week on-site at one of the company’s approved HRSA sites (unless on a half-time contract). They may have some weekend or evening service schedules, and depending on their discipline, emergency coverage schedules. You should expect to attend multi-disciplinary team meetings, group and individual supervision, didactic training, and specific training and programmatic assignments. Traveling up to 30 miles between sites may be necessary since we are a very rural area. You will be expected to interact with psychologists, physicians, nurses, social workers, professional counselors, substance abuse counselors, marital and family therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
